Bubbles, bubbles everywhere, unfortunately. Here is the result of resin practice #3. The resin did harden correctly on the second test, so I am pretty sure it was a technique/measuring error on practice #2 that resulted in rubbery resin. This means I am moving in the correct direction. Even after coating the mold twice with mold release spray, I still had to put it in the freezer to get the jewels to pop out. While frustrating, my current plans do not involve use of a mold. My plans do, however, require a bubble-free result.
Resin test #4 will be done in smoother measuring cups to observe that result. If that result still has excessive bubbles, I will have to search the town (and probably the Internet as well) for a heat gun. I would hate to spend $20 for the one at Hobby Lobby.
